Product Update Notification - Channel Sounding - nRF Toolbox Android app (v4.1.4)
We have released a new version of the open-source nRF Toolbox Android app (v4.1.4), which brings support for Bluetooth Channel Sounding. For the first time, developers can evaluate Channel Sounding on an open-source app from Nordic Semiconductor and perform accurate distance measurements using a Channel Sounding-enabled smartphone and an nRF54L15 development kit.
With this release, the app completes Nordic’s end-to-end Bluetooth Channel Sounding offering by bringing you the capability to test and evaluate Channel Sounding directly on smartphones, as well as help you develop your own Channel Sounding-enabled app using the nRF Toolbox GitHub repository as a reference.
Currently, Bluetooth Channel Sounding is supported by Google Pixel 10 phones, and many more are expected to follow. To evaluate Channel Sounding with nRF Toolbox, your Pixel 10 should be enrolled in the Android 16 Quarterly Platform Release 2.
